Although, are we surprised? This follows months of rumours and speculation – Screen Rant published an article on Dec 13, 2025 reporting that “According to The InSneider, Johansson is reportedly playing Gilda Gold, who is best known as the wife of DC’s Harvey Dent. With her introduction, the report also reveals that The Batman – Part II is currently in the process of casting Harvey and his father, Christopher Dent.” So is it really true that Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson will now be playing Harvey Dent and Gilda Gold? Looks like it’s all coming together after these tweets from Matt Reeves.
The Batman: Part II is due to release in theaters on October 1, 2027.
